Ezekiel Ombaki Machogu, a politician, has been proposed by President William Ruto as the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education.
If accepted by the legislature, he will succeed Prof. George Magoha, who has served as the docket’s chief secretary since 2019.
In the recently held general elections, Mr. Machogu ran for the position of Kisii County governor but was defeated by Simba Arati.
Between 2017 to 2022, he served as the representative for the Nyaribari Masaba Constituency in Kisii County.
After completing his O-Level studies at Nduru High School in 1974, the politician transferred to Agoro Sare High School to complete his A-Level studies.
Ezekiel Ombaki studied as an undergraduate at the University of Nairobi from 1976 to 1979.
