Tuesday’s inauguration of William Ruto as Kenya’s fifth president is scheduled to go off without a hitch.
Along with him, Rigathi Gachagua, who will take the oath as Kenya’s second Deputy President, will be sworn in.
The 60,000-seat stadium’s gates will be open to the public beginning at 4 am for the historic event, which will take place there. Additionally, 2,500 VIPs are anticipated to attend the event.
By Sunday, a total of 17 Presidents, 8 Prime Ministers, Deputy Presidents, and 7 Foreign Ministers had declared their attendance at the inauguration.
The 21st battalion of the Kenya Rifles is anticipated to post the guard of honor during the event.
General Robert Kibochi, the head of the armed forces, practiced handing over the reins of power to the new president on Saturday.
Uncertainty surrounds whether departing President Uhuru Kenyatta will show up for the occasion.

Service Commanders, who are in charge of the Kenyan Army, Navy, and Airforce, arrive at 10:30.
Heads of State and government who have been invited arrive at 10:45.
General Kibochi, head of the defense forces, arrives at 11:00.
Judges of the Supreme Court as well as Chief Justice Martha Koome and Chief Registrar Anne Amadi arrive at 11:05.
Guard of Honor enters position at 11:30 a.m.
Rigathi Gachagua, the vice president-elect, arrives at 11:35.

General Kibochi welcomes President Uhuru Kenyatta when he arrives at Kasarani at 11:45 a.m. The president is then led to the ceremonial Land Rover so he can enter the stadium. Uhuru will examine the Guard of Honor after the National Anthem.
At 12:10 PM, Ruto and Gachagua will be sworn in by Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Anne Amadi. She will stand at the podium and call CJ Koome forward to testify. The Chief Justice will present Gachagua and Ruto to the public and request that Ruto take.
After the National Anthem and fanfare, President Uhuru will give Ruto the Instruments of Power and Authority. During this time, Uhuru’s presidential Standard will be lowered and Ruto’s will be raised simultaneously.
The Chief of Defence Forces will then present Uhuru with his Standard after a 21-gun salute.
After Ruto has taken both vows, the Guard of Honour will leave the stadium, followed by an entertainment event.
After the new president is sworn in, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will ask one of the visitors to speak on behalf of the dignitaries who were invited before inviting the departing president to deliver his farewell address.
Gachagua will then make his remarks in his capacity as Vice President.
