William Ruto, the incoming president, has assured Kenyans that he will keep his word and that there won’t be any problems under his administration.
At a thanksgiving ceremony held at Maya Stadium, Ruto said he anticipates a time when Kenyans won’t be burdened.
He continued by expressing his desire for a time when Kenyans won’t need to borrow.
“I am taking over a nation that has a high debt load and a weak economy. Stop digging if you find yourself in a hole. Kenya saves 7% of its GDP, compared to China’s 57%. I implore everyone to foster a saving culture, “added Ruto.
The outgoing vice president asked Kenyans to do their share by paying taxes and pledged to set an example by doing so himself.
Additionally, he pledged to carry out the Jubilee administration’s Big 4 plan for youth employment.
Ruto promised to finish all unfinished projects in Meru County.
Regarding the Miraa markets, Ruto claimed he is negotiating with the president of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh, to increase bilateral commerce in the crop.
He stated that the Hustler National plan to improve Kenyans’ lives must be put into action as soon as he takes the oath of office.
Leave the cartels in Miraa for me. This week, I will meet with the president of Somalia to expedite the Miraa markets. Farmers in Miraa need not be concerned; I will deal with all brokers and cartels.
