Kenya Airways, universally referred to as KQ, is pretty much the common airline that flies in and out of Kenya mostly because it is the one that carries the flag of Kenya. Established 43 years ago, it currently has 56 termini with JKIA being its hub airport.
KQ Resuming flights
15th July, 2020 saw many domestic air travelers smile their way to the airport after Kenya airways resumed its flights that had been paralyzed thanks to the ongoing corona virus pandemic. In addition to the local airways being opened, the flight costs had been slashed by almost half as an introductory rate to air globe-trotters. In line of observing the corona virus pandemic rules, regulations and precautions, the cabin load and seat capacity had to be kept down to about sixty five percent. The international flights are expected to resume two weeks later on 1st Aug, 2020.
In a bid to protect every stakeholder from the virus, strict rules have been laid on the ground. For instance, every traveler will be forced to sanitize before boarding. In addition, social distancing will be maintained with no meals being served on board.
