The principal of migingo high school Madam Roselyne has been killed by her blood son.
The son turned murderer is reported to be suffering from a mental illness which might have lead him to commit such a heinous act of taking away the life of her dear mother.
In the recent past there has been several cases that have been reported with regard to the handling of patients with psychiatric disorders,and the argument has been mos parents tend to shy away from taking these type of children to the hospitals and end up keeping them in the house this has resulted in many of them turning violent to the extent of harming the people around them or themselves.
This incident is believed to have taken place on Saturday night.The other son who works in Kisumu tried to reach her late mother through a phone call on Sunday but all was in vain as the phone could not be reached,this must have triggered the alarm to discover the murder.The son who works in Kisumu called kacheliba assistant chief and alerted him and the chief with the help of nyando policemen carried out the search in their house and found the murder son inside the house.
The assailant is said to have attacked her mother in their own house on Saturday night and killed her and then took her to the bathroom and set her ablaze beside the corpse was a kitchen knife which didn’t seem to be stained with blood, it’s not clear how he executed the murder now that the body was burnt beyond recognition.
The body of the deceased was taken nyando teaching and referral mortuary awaiting postmortem to unravel the immediate cause of her death,The murder son was found locked himself in the house and the police are currently holding him awaiting possible prosecution against murder.
Police have since swang into action to find out why the son killed her mother.
