The Diploma in Business Information Technology (DBIT) degree is meant to prepare candidates to wish to become specialists in the Information Technology market to solve the IT needs of modern businesses. The course is designed to meet the increasing demand in the market place for IT professionals with a vast knowledge and expertise in business management, technical skills and the capacity to harness and implement IT strategies taking advantage of emerging technologies. Candidates who pursue this course are prepared to work as project managers, System Designers, Information Systems Developers among other professionals.
To be admitted for the course at JKUAT the candidate should have attained a KCSE Mean grade of C+ with C in Mathematics and English or two principal passes in KACE or Credit in relevant diploma.

The Distance Learning fee for a minimum of 3 Modules per semester falls between Kshs 19,000- Kshs 25000
