Hussein Mohammed, a former Citizen journalist, was named Statehouse Spokesperson, while Ruto named David Mugonyi, his spokesperson, as Head of Presidential Communication Service.
Felix Koskei has been appointed as the Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service by President William Ruto.
Koskei takes over for Joseph Kinyua as Head of Public Service.
Former governor of Turkana Josephat Nanok was also named by Ruto as deputy chief of staff, while economist David Ndii was chosen to lead the President’s Council of Economic Advisors.
Augustine Cheruiyot was appointed as the senior advisor and Head of the Economic Transformation and Secretariat.
In the appointments made public on Friday, Ruto named Mohammed Hassan as a member of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors and nominated former Treasury Principal Secretary Kamau Thugge as Senior Advisor and Head of Fiscal Affairs and Budget Policy.
