The Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV) Program registration period is only open for a short time each fiscal year.
Since the DV-2023 applicants have already been chosen, the US Department of State has opened the DV-2024 to new registrations.
Please take note that registration for the green card lottery typically takes place between the months of October and November two years in advance.

During the designated registration period, all applications must be filed online using the Electronic Diversity Visa (E-DV) website. Late submissions and paper submissions are not accepted.

If applicants receive assistance from another person, it is advised that they be there when the entry is created so that they may provide the questions the proper answers, keep the confirmation page, and record their own confirmation number.
